Welcome to our new Wilkes PTO website. We hope that this will be a useful resource for Wilkes families. This year we will be going as "electronic" as possible. All of our newsletters will be found at this website, and not sent home in paper-form. We are trying to cut down on the amount of paper we use.

A huge thank you to Margaret Hanacek and Marisa Lanning for Chairing the wonderful Wilkes Halloween Carnival.  They worked tirelessly to put on the great event.  Next time you see them, be sure to pass on a "thank you".

Dear Wilkes Families,

Just a quick note of thanks for making our Wilkes Halloween Carnival such a rousing success.  The final numbers have not come in, but rough estimates are that we grossed approximately $12,000.  This money will directly benefit your child with enrichment programs, grants for our teachers and community building events.

Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered in the classrooms, supervised the games, assisted with set up and clean up.  Thank you as well to all who showed up to support our school by purchasing tickets and participating in the good times.  These events truly take a community to construct and we feel most fortunate to have such enthusiastic and generous volunteers.

We hope that you are enjoying this season and look forward to seeing you at the next PTO sponsored event.

As you know, we are not holding our usual Sally Foster fundraiser this year. Many of you have asked whether you can purchase Sally Foster products (high quality gift wrap, gift items, chocolates and more) and have Wilkes Elementary benefit from the sale. The answer is YES!

Here's how to do it:
  • Go to www.sallyfoster.com
  • Click on the "Give Credit" tab at the top of the page
  • Select "Group/Account Number"
  • Enter either seller code 292246 or group name "Wilkes Elementary" plus "Bainbridge Island, WA" or "98110"
  • Choose your items and pay by credit card
  • Your purchase will be delivered right to your home. Free shipping for orders over $70

Wilkes will receive 50% of your purchase amount from Sally Foster. Please feel free to pass this information along to any family and friends who are interested.
